1. What is sleep coaching?

Sleep coaching is the process of helping a baby to have opportunities to learn to fall asleep and stay asleep for a better quality of sleep. Some babies do this quite easily, whereas others may need coaching. Some little ones have trouble falling asleep independently without active assistance from their mother. Mothers then become sleep deprived, resulting in an unhealthy mental state. The mother needs to get up to actively help along in their baby’s sleep. To implement the skill of self-settling and resettling after one sleep cycle, the sleep coaching process involves a few things as a complete package. For example; sleeping habits, sleeping environments, daily routines, biological sleep windows, milk and solid intake, bedtime routines, medical issues that need GP attention, childcare commitments, developmental milestones etc…

2. What age children do you work with?

I work with newborns from 3 weeks and children up to 5 years old.

3. What is the best age for sleep coaching?

Any age from 3 weeks onwards till 5 years old. Newborn 3-12 weeks old is mainly focusing on the healthy sleep habits as they are not neurologically ready to self sooth.

4. What makes your consultations unique from other competitors?

I believe each baby is uniquely created and requires unique parenting. Therefore, my sleep package takes into consideration your parenting style and provides a holistic approach based on a comprehensive review of full medical, feeding, nursery, sleep history from intake the form. I have been through the hard times you are going through at the moment.

5. Do you only use Cry It Out?

No. Cry It Out is considered one of the sleep coaching method yet this is the least popular among parents. There are a range of gentler sleep coaching techniques to choose from. I can’t promise no tears as crying is the one form of your child’s communication with us, but I will ensure we implement one that you are comfortable working with. The sleep plan will be customised to age appropriate of your child, your child’s temperament and your parenting styles.

6. How long does sleep coaching usually take before seeing an improvement?

No one child is the same, therefore they respond differently. However, in saying that, most parents will see a positive change within first 3 days, provided they remain consistent with their approach.

7. Do you work internationally?

Yes, I do. You can refer to my virtual call packages where I can use Skye, Voxer, WeChat or WhatsApp.

8. Do you speak other languages?

Yes, I do. I do speak fluently in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa. But all sleep assessment will be delivered in English.

9. When is payment required?

Payment is required in full prior to the consultation. You will receive an invoice for the total amount of the consultation after filling an intake form.

10. What if I have to reschedule my booking?

Your payment secures your booking. However, I do understand that unexpected events occur. Booking needs to be reschedule within 30 days of payment.

11. What if I have to cancel my appointment?

Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to assessment schedule date will be refunded 50% of the fee. Cancellations prior to 48 hours will be refunded 90% of the fee, 10% admin fee is non-refundable.
